My story starts with a captivating film project filmed and directed by me. It was dubbed ‘Em Turquois’, an entirely organic and collaborative project that had its own unique narrative, aesthetic and sound.
I decided to shoot the movie on my 5D mark II with a natural ambient soundtrack that resonates with the beautiful backdrop of the Isle of Wight.

This meant I had to go further than just raw footage, instead carefully crafting each shot to induce emotion and thought in my audience. I wanted them to feel immersed in this world I created for them.
And so, focusing on careful dialogues and bright, satisfying colours, I began piecing together Em Turquois into something sublime yet subtly twisted – a cinematic experience unlike any other.
